⚽️ | Chelsea news

The expected return dates for Jadon Sancho,  Malo Gusto and three other Chelsea stars.

The Blues will take on Leicester City on 23rd November after the International break and the Blues have been plagued with do many injuries,  with goalkeeper Jorgensen the latest to pull out of the Danish National team with injury.

Here are the expected return dates of all five injured Chelsea players.

Malo Gusto

Gusto picked up an ankle issue in Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Arsenal and the Frenchman was not selected for international callup. It is not clear how bad Gusto's injury is and he is being monitored to ascertain if he will feature for the Blues against Leicester City.

Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho is recovering from an illness which kept him out of both the last game and the England squad should Lee Carsley have wanted to select him. It is likely that Sancho will be ready for the Leicester game, but he may get left on the bench both as a precaution and down to the fact that winger Pedro Neto is in good form.

Expected return date – Saturday 23 November vs Leicester City (A)

Wesley Fofana

Fofana managed to play all of Chelsea’s 1-1 draw to Arsenal, but he suffered a knee issue in training afterwards. It isn’t clear yet as to just how severe the injury is, just that it has been described as a ‘knock’ so Fofana likely won’t miss too much time. He will have the international break to recover and is currently being assessed ahead of the Leicester game.

Romeo Lavia

Midfielder Lavia has become a mainstay in Chelsea’s starting XI under Enzo Maresca at the expense of Enzo Fernandez.

The 20-year-old told the media: “I received a little blow. At the moment, we are testing to see if it’s OK, but it should be fine, I think.”

Omari Kellyman

Youngster Kellyman is yet to make an appearance for the first team at Chelsea since joining from Aston Villa over the summer.

He has a hamstring issue which is now reported to just being a strain which means he could be returning in the near future.

It is likely that he will begin playing in the U21s before getting a shot at first team football.

Filipe Jorgensen

Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen withdrew from Denmark Under 21’s squad for their friendlies against Germany and Spain.

There has been no explanation given as to why the shot-stopper has pulled out, with the club simply confirming that he would not be available to play for his country. Hopefully it's nothing serious.
