 Chelsea Legend John Terry has called for defender Renato Veiga to be given more minutes under Enzo Maresca. 

The Portuguese starlet was particularly impressive following his start for Portugal against Poland. 

Renato Veiga registered more headed clearances (4) than any other player for either Portugal or Poland last night. He also registered 3 passes into the opposition penalty box. Veiga already starting games for his national side. 🤩 (via Mozo Football)

 Legend John Terry has praised the defender while calling for Enzo Maresca to give him more starts. 

"Veiga is an incredibly talented player. He has an amazing attitude. He does everything correctly and performs so well every day. I believe he has a strong chance.

“I am anticipating great things from [Renato Veiga] and, hopefully, more Premier League action as the season progresses.” Terry said as quoted by Chelsea247

Renato Veiga was very involved in Chelsea’s pressing structure when they faced Bournemouth earlier this season, having actions high in the pitch and trying to force turnovers.

Chelsea face Leicester City this Saturday and of course, one would be looking forward to another masterclass performance following Bournemouth win. It also remains to be seen whether Renato Veiga will be handed minutes.
