LIVESTREAM: Spain vs Switzerland
Spain will round out its Group 4 matchups in the League A campaign in the UEFA Nations League on Monday evening, with the reigning champions, who are through to the quarterfinals, welcoming Switzerland.
Spain is coming off a 2-1 win over Denmark its last time out. However, the team was not at its best on Friday night. It was another professional performance from La Roja though, as goals from Mikel Oyarzabal and Ayoze Perez put the club over the top. Switzerland lost its first three matches of group play, but the team has steadied itself lately with back-to-back draws. Last time out, the team drew 1-1 with Serbia. The Swiss took the lead with a 78th-minute Zeki Amdouni goal, but Serbia evened things up 10 minutes later.
Spain has not lost a competitive match since March 2023, and the strength of its squad was on full display against Denmark. Many players on the squad that are on the bench would likely be starters for other countries. However, those players are hoping for opportunities to make their mark on Monday evening.
Switzerland has been relegated to League B, and they are without a victory in all competitions since recording a 2-0 win over Italy in the last-16 stage of the recent European Championship. The country is 0-3-2 in its last five Nations League contests.
