"Not injury..." Enzo Maresca explains why Malo Gusto and Pedro Neto were absent in Saturday clash vs Leicester City, reveals return dates.

Enzo Maresca has given an injury update on duo Pedro Neto and Malo Gusto following their absence in Saturday's clash against Leicester City.

Chelsea sealed a 2-1 victory against the Foxes with two goals from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez sealing the victory for the Blues.  Malo Gusto and Pedro Neto were missing from the team sheet and Enzo Maresca has revealed the latest on both players.

While he revealed that Gusto missed the clash due to illness,  Pedro Neto has a minor issue from international duty:

"Malo was with us but during the night he didn't feel well. Pedro had a problem with the international team and we didn't want to take any risks." Enzo Maresca said per Football.london.

Per The Chelsea Chronicle,  Enzo Maresca revealed Pedro Neto is getting better:

"Pedro suffered a kick during the international break that he hasn’t been able to shake off. He’s getting better but we can’t take a risk with him today.”

Speaking earlier in November, Neto claimed he’s starting to feel himself at Chelsea after arriving in the summer from Wolverhampton Wanderers. That’s definitely been showing with his performances and breakthrough into the team’s best XI. Therefore it must really be frustrating to have him sitting out in today's clash. Hopefully he gets better in time for the coming games.
