Chelsea stormed to the top of the Women's Super League table in front of almost 20,000 fans at Stamford Bridge after beating Manchester City 2-0.

Following a tightly contested 75 minutes in SW6 between the league's top-two, the Blues finally broke the deadlock through Mayra Ramirez and it was soon 2-0 by the 79th minute when Guro Reiten doubled our advantage.

The victory against City means Sonia Bompastor becomes the first head coach to win their opening seven WSL matches. We now sit atop the league table with a perfect 21 points, while our opponents drop to second and are two points behind having played a game more.
