"Dependable player." - Chelsea now ready to splash £75M cash on "clinical finisher" after Everton draw.


Chelsea are on the search for a clinical striker after Nicolas Jackson's wasteful display against the Toffees. 

The Blues have identified Victor Osimhen as their top target to replace Nicolas Jackson. 

So far, Osimhen has 12 goals and 4 assists in 15 games for Galatasaray. But his fine form will not help him in getting his place back at Napoli. In addition, they player is unwilling to stay at Turkey which increases his chances of landing at Chelsea. 

According to Fichajes, both Chelsea have shown interest in the 25 year old. The Blues still rate Osimhen highly and are willing to sign him next year. Same has been the case for the Red Devils who are keen to improve their squad. Both clubs are willing to pay around €75 million and Napoli are happy to let the Nigerian leave.

Nicolas Jackson has been in superb form this season. But, the Blues are still keen to add another striker. In addition, Nkunku is very likely to leave which will open up space. Osimhen will directly replace Jackson from the starting lineup.

Liam Delap sends clear warning message to Nicolas Jackson over striker position after Chelsea debut.

  Liam Delap has issued a clear warning to Nicolas Jackson over the striker role at Chelsea.   Liam Delap was on the assist sheet for the Blues in their 2-0 win over American outfit Los Angeles F.C on Monday evening. The Englishman assisted Enzo Fernandez's goal in the 80th minute.  Delap is not going to make things easy for Jackson, with the Englishman already making it clear that he is going to thrive off the competition. Speaking to DAZN after the LAFC game, he said:  “I think it’s always healthy to have competition. It’s football and this is an incredible club, so it’s always going to be hard.
