City’s dire form has seen them win one game in 13 and their 4-2 defeat at Paris St Germain on Wednesday, after they squandered a two-goal lead, has left them on brink of crashing out of the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s 3-1 victory at Wolverhampton on Monday halted a five-match winless league run. Chelsea only scored twice in the first four games of that barren spell.
