“Not Part of My Plans” — Enzo Maresca Puts Seven Chelsea Players Up for Sale.
Ahead of the coming season, Enzo Maresca has put SEVEN Chelsea players up for SALE.
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has made a firm statement ahead of the new Premier League season by putting at least six first-team players up for sale, citing that they are “not part of his plans.”
This decision is part of a broader summer clear-out designed to trim Chelsea’s overloaded squad, meet Profit and Sustainability rules (PSR), and make room for new signings. The players are not considered essential to the manager’s strategy.
“My message to the players and to the club is that I want just players that are happy to be with us. The ones that are not happy, they are free to go.” Maresca said in a recent statement, emphasizing his desire to work only with those fully committed to his vision per The Independent.
Seven players up for sale.
talkSPORT confirms that at least seven big-name players are on Chelsea’s internal transfer list. These include:
Raheem Sterling
Ben Chilwell
Christopher Nkunku
João Félix
Axel Disasi
Carney Chukwuemeka
Armando Broja
The outlet describes them as “dead weight” the club is eager to offload to restructure the squad.
João Félix and Nkunku Expected to Depart
Chelsea are reportedly prepared to take a loss on João Félix, with Benfica monitoring his situation.
With Felix not part of Chelsea's plans moving forward, the club are now seeking to sell, as they look to take his high salary off their wage bill.
The 25-year-old returned to west London in a £46.3million deal from Atletico Madrid last August, but things did not go according to plan.
Meanwhile, Nkunku is drawing interest from Bayern Munich, although Chelsea is holding out for an offer close to their original £52 million valuation.
More Players on the Chopping block.
Chelsea are also prioritising the sale of a number of high earners not in Enzo Maresca’s plans.
The list includes a number of big names, including Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Renato Veiga and Axel Disasi, as well as Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu and Armando Broja.
Another player who could depart in the coming weeks is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, with the Blues prepared to listen to reasonable offers for the former Leicester man.
Meanwhile, promising academy graduate Tyrique George could be sent out on loan, though it is not yet clear if he is part of the first-team's plans.
With the Blues exceeding squad registration limits and operating under tight PSR constraints, offloading fringe players has become a priority. Maresca is said to favor a smaller, more unified squad with tactical flexibility, hunger, and fewer internal politics.
Chelsea fans should expect more exits before the window closes, with negotiations already ongoing behind the scenes.
