"He's signing for Chelsea." Liam Rosenior confirms world class star will be a BLUE.

 • Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior has confirmed world class star has his heart at Chelsea and it will not change anytime soon.

Liam Rosenior has revealed he’s held discussions with Cole Palmer regarding his future at Chelsea, following ongoing speculation that the playmaker is feeling homesick and could be tempted by a return to Manchester.

The 23-year-old, who was raised in the city, has been persistently linked with a potential move to Manchester United, with reports this week suggesting he misses home and would be open to heading back north if the opportunity arises.

However, Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has played down the claims, insisting the England international is “very happy” at Stamford Bridge and stressing that “every player has challenges” when asked about suggestions Palmer may be feeling homesick.

Rosenior believes the versatile attacker, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023, remains a key figure in the club’s long-term vision. Speaking on the matter, the former Strasbourg boss said:

I’ve had many conversations with Cole and he both seems and is very, very happy here. He’s a huge part of our long-term plans and an outstanding player. Every player experiences difficult moments in their career, especially with injuries, but that doesn’t reflect his quality.

There was frustration in the Brentford game – not because he isn’t happy here, but because he couldn’t perform at the level he wants to for the club,” added Rosenior. “My job, and the club’s job, is to get him performing consistently at the level he wants to.”

Palmer is a world-class talent, and it’s clear the board has no intention of selling him. Despite all the speculation, it’s hard to imagine them letting such a key player leave the club.

Chelsea signed Cole Palmer from Manchester City on September 1, 2023. He signed a seven-year contract with a club option for an additional year, joining for an initial fee of £40 million, with potential add-ons. He was signed on transfer deadline day for the 2023/24 season.

Cole Palmer is under contract with Chelsea until June 2033. Following a two-year extension signed in August 2024 (which added to his previous deal), he has roughly seven and a half to eight years remaining on his contract as of early 2026.

Palmer remains BLUE no matter what.
