However, there may be growing temptation within the club to cut their losses if performances do not improve. A key factor in their thinking is the need to protect the £40 million fee invested in him last summer.

The pressure is mounting, especially with Chelsea reportedly monitoring alternative wing options, including Yan Diomande, ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

At present, Garnacho’s position appears precarious. The 21-year-old faces a clear “improve or move” scenario after managing just one Premier League goal this campaign while struggling to adapt to Liam Rosenior’s tactical demands.

His half-time substitution against West Ham and reduced involvement in the Carabao Cup suggest a declining level of trust from the coaching staff. Meanwhile, the anticipated arrival of Geovany Quenda could further limit his opportunities.

Although Rosenior has publicly expressed confidence in Garnacho’s ability, the reality is that the winger may be fighting to secure his long-term future at Stamford Bridge during the closing months of the season.
