"Not part of my plans." — Liam Rosenior open to selling €40M Chelsea star with Roberto De Zerbi eyeing move.

The upcoming summer transfer window is expected to be another busy period for Chelsea, with Todd Boehly and the Clearlake ownership preparing to spend heavily once again after splashing nearly £300 million last summer.

However, Chelsea balanced their spending with significant player sales. Notable departures included Noni Madueke, who joined Arsenal for a fee exceeding £50 million, and Christopher Nkunku, who moved to AC Milan, among others.

Looking ahead, Chelsea are reportedly planning to strengthen several areas of the squad. The goalkeeping department is set for reinforcement, while interest in Jeremy Jacquet indicates the club is targeting defensive additions. Midfield depth is also seen as a priority, and Emmanuel Emegha is expected to bolster the attacking options.

Meanwhile, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho have struggled to make a consistent impact since arriving at Stamford Bridge. As a result, Chelsea could enter the market for another winger if youngster Geovany Quenda is not considered ready for a major role. These potential arrivals suggest that several current players could be heading for the exit.

Badiashile Facing Uncertain Future at Chelsea

Among the players whose future looks uncertain is Benoit Badiashile. The French defender has slipped down the defensive hierarchy, and his situation could worsen once Levi Colwill returns to full fitness and younger talents like Mamadou Sarr and Aaron Anselmino are given opportunities.

At present, the £35 million signing is viewed as fourth-choice centre-back behind Wesley Fofana, Trevoh Chalobah, and Tosin Adarabioyo. Reports suggest Chelsea could be open to selling Badiashile during the summer transfer window.

According to Caught Offside, competition for defensive places is expected to intensify, with Colwill, Sarr, Anselmino, and potential new signings all competing for starting roles, leaving Badiashile struggling for regular minutes.

Three European Clubs Monitoring Situation

AC Milan are reportedly monitoring Badiashile’s situation, having previously signed several players from Chelsea, including Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Nkunku, Christian Pulisic, and Fikayo Tomori.

Juventus are also said to be considering a move if the defender becomes available, while there is speculation that Roberto De Zerbi could attempt to bring the former Monaco centre-back back to France.

With manager Liam Rosenior currently favouring Chalobah and Fofana as his preferred defensive pairing, and Levi Colwill yet to return to action, Badiashile faces an uphill battle for playing time. If he hopes to secure regular minutes and continue his development, a summer departure could be the most sensible option.
