 Chelsea were really struggling to find the back of the net before Pedro Neto's stunning strike!

The Blues now take the lead in the FA Cup! 

After a frustrating half full of missed chances, it is first-team regular Pedro Neto who steps up and gets the job done.

The Portugal star is playing as the number ten tonight—a surprise, but he makes it count. After some neat one-touch play through the middle, striker Liam Delap lays the ball off to Neto. He takes a touch to set it up, then lashes a left-footed strike from outside the box into the bottom corner.

It’s been an immensely frustrating first half at times given the chances missed, and we hope this effort gives the team a little more confidence. They need to rattle in a couple more so we can take off the likes of Moises Caicedo.
All signs are promising though, and with 45 minutes left to play we’re expecting a win. Who knows, maybe we’ll even get to see young Jesse Derry or Shim Mheuka in the second half? That would make an otherwise pretty standard cup tie a little more interesting.

Liam Delap sends clear warning message to Nicolas Jackson over striker position after Chelsea debut.

  Liam Delap has issued a clear warning to Nicolas Jackson over the striker role at Chelsea.   Liam Delap was on the assist sheet for the Blues in their 2-0 win over American outfit Los Angeles F.C on Monday evening. The Englishman assisted Enzo Fernandez's goal in the 80th minute.  Delap is not going to make things easy for Jackson, with the Englishman already making it clear that he is going to thrive off the competition. Speaking to DAZN after the LAFC game, he said:  “I think it’s always healthy to have competition. It’s football and this is an incredible club, so it’s always going to be hard.
