The Club World Cup final rivalry is set to be renewed tonight as Chelsea travel to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Round of 16. The Blues were crowned world champions last summer after a stunning 3–0 victory over the Parisians in New Jersey, with goals from Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro sealing the win. However, tensions between the two sides still appear far from settled.

The match ended in heated scenes, with Luis Enrique clashing with Joao Pedro after the final whistle, leaving lingering bad blood between the teams. Now, just eight months later, they meet again—this time on PSG’s turf in Paris.

A lot has changed at Chelsea since that night, particularly on the touchline. Enzo Maresca’s tactical brilliance guided the Blues to that famous victory in the United States, but it now falls to Liam Rosenior to see if he can replicate that success against the Ligue 1 leaders tonight.
