• John Terry has urged the Chelsea Board to re-sign a former Chelsea player.  • He believes the player is a missing piece in the Blues' setup. Chelsea legend John Terry has backed Thiago Silva to make a return to the club during the January transfer window. The 41-year-old left the Blues last year to return to Brazil, but his spell with Fluminense is set to end later this month. Silva is now keen on a move back to Europe in order to be closer to his family.  Joao Pedro has opened the scoring for Chelsea vs Atalanta and what a goal it was!  Reece James bagged the assist for the goal.  At first, the goal was ruled out for offside, after a check, the goal was awarded.  How it happened :  It was a really well worked goal, with the Blues working the ball out to Reece James, who put in a brilliant cross, and Pedro applying a poachers finish in the box. Atalanta had made much of the early running, with Gianluca Scamacca and Marten de Roon going close for the hosts in the 19th minute. The  main draw  is scheduled to begin at 12pm (17:00 GMT) at the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC, the US. A record 48 teams will take part in next year’s expanded edition, for which former England and Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand is conducting the draw.
