How Chelsea Must Lineup to beat Arsenal

Image
Chelsea face Arsenal in one of Premier League's most anticipated ties this evening.  The Blues have lost to Arsenal in all of their Previous meetings this season and will be looking to win against the Gunners today.  Chelsea Legend John Terry has told Chelsea how they can go about today's game to secure the much-needed win against Arsenal: Speaking on his official TikTok page, John Terry believes that gaps will start to appear in Arsenal’s defence if Chelsea can grab the first goal.So I think scoring the first goal for us this weekend is really important. That will force Arsenal to then come out and then gaps will appear. And we’ve seen that in more recent weeks at both home and away for Arsenal. “Also, set plays, they’re fantastic at set plays as well. And the big one is that big long ball around the back post where they look for the second phase. So it’s not often the first phase pass that gets their goal, it’s the second phase as well. So we need to be really aggressi...

REPORT: Chelsea Lead Liverpool and Tottenham In Race To Sign £70m Premier League Centre-Back

Image
Chelsea are reportedly in pole position to sign a Premier League centre-back, beating competition from Liverpool and Tottenham.  The Blues are looking to strengthen their defensive options this summer, following the potential exits of Trevoh Chalobah and Benoit Badiashile as reported earlier.  Chelsea Leading Race For Murillo. Nottingham Forest’s Murillo was strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer, as the Blues were keen to strengthen their defence. Although they ultimately decided not to pursue a deal for the Brazilian at the time, their interest has not faded. TeamTALK claims that Chelsea are ‘leading the pursuit’ with ‘extensive groundwork’ conducted over the past 12 months. The Blues even considered a bid for the player last summer with his ball-playing abilities fitting what is needed at Stamford Bridge. Liverpool already have Jeremy Jacquet arriving at Anfield in the summer but will need another addition should Ibrahima Konate depart upon the expiry o...

Image
HELLO AND WELCOME TO TODAY'S LIVE STREAM!  Manchester City travel to Leeds United hoping to maintain the pressure on Premier League leaders Arsenal in the title race.City trail the Gunners by five points albeit having played one game fewer, but that lead could be cut to just two points with a victory for Pep Guardiola’s side at Elland Road. Leeds, meanwhile, will be looking to make further strides to consolidate their place in the top flight next season. Daniel Farke’s men are currently six points above the relegation zone in 15th, however, the hosts are unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions, and can boast draws against Chelsea and Aston Villa in that run. Manchester City team news The big news from the Manchester City camp is the absence of striker Erling Haaland, who is ruled out with injury. Rayan Cherki replaces the Norwegian, starting alongside Omar Marmoush and Antoine Semenyo in attack. Jeremy Doku has been back in training for City but will not feature fro...

"Improve or Be Sold."—Chelsea star issued warning ahead of summer window.

Image
 • Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a summer transfer for the £40M star.  Garnacho is among Chelsea’s summer arrivals who have struggled to make a meaningful impact this season. Regardless of where he plays, the Argentine often finds himself under scrutiny — sometimes unfairly, though there have also been moments when criticism has been justified. Concerns have been raised about his attitude, particularly regarding his tendency to engage in theatrics and the so-called “dark arts” rather than focusing on keeping his game simple and effective. As a result, speculation surrounding his future has intensified. According to Bobby Vincent (via Football.London ), Chelsea have yet to make a final decision on Garnacho. However, there may be growing temptation within the club to cut their losses if performances do not improve. A key factor in their thinking is the need to protect the £40 million fee invested in him last summer. The pressure is mounting, especially with Chelsea reported...

HELLO BLUES AND WELCOME TO TODAY'S LIVE STREAM! Today’s game is a repeat of last season’s final in which Chelsea won 3-0 to complete a domestic treble. While Chelsea are still fighting on four fronts, the prospect of Sonia Bompastor’s side winning another treble is no longer on the cards after back to back defeats against Arsenal and Manchester City in the league. But they bounced back with wins against Spurs and Liverpool to put them within a point of Manchester United in the WSL. Meanwhile, Manchester United are buoyant. They haven’t lost a game since November and Marc Skinner registered his 100th win with the club when they beat Atletico Madrid 2-0 to complete a 5-0 aggregate victory over them in the Champions League on Wednesday. Today’s game will be preparation for when both clubs meet again next month in the League Cup Final. TEAM NEWS : After Bompastor confirmed that Kadeisha Buchanan would be named in the squad for today's match, the Canadian defender is named on the ...

“He Caused It – Unacceptable!” Liam Rosenior Blames Chelsea Player for Late Equalizer.

Image
 • Liam Rosenior has called out one Chelsea star for mistake leading to Burnley's equalizer in the second half.  Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior has voiced his frustration following the Blues' dramatic 1—1 draw with Burnley at Stamford Bridge.   Burnley snatched a late equalizer in the 90+3rd minute when Zian Flemming headed home from a corner, leaving Chelsea to settle for a point despite taking an early lead. Rosenior highlighted defensive lapses on set plays, particularly following Wesley Fofana's red card earlier in the game: "We get a red card but still in the moment we have to deal with that set play better. "That is unacceptable for their best header to be free in the box. I am learning very quickly about this team and I know what needs to be done for us to improve," Rosenior has said. On the equalizer, while Liam Rosenior does not want to lay blames on his players, the Chelsea boss admits that the equalizer was as a mistake on the part of one Chelsea st...

HELLO BLUES AND WELCOME TO TODAY'S LIVE MATCH STREAM. Chelsea return to Premier League action this afternoon as they host relegation-battling Burnley. The Blues squandered a two-goal advantage in a 2-2 draw with Leeds 11 days ago, missing the chance to capitalise on Manchester United’s slip and allowing Liverpool to close the gap to just two points. Chelsea will be confident of bouncing back against a side sitting second from bottom and should benefit from eight days of rest following a routine FA Cup fourth-round victory over Hull City. However, Marc Cucurella remains sidelined as Liam Rosenior looks to secure a ninth win in 12 matches across all competitions since taking charge six weeks ago. Burnley, on the other hand, staged an impressive comeback against Crystal Palace in their previous league fixture but remain ten points adrift of safety. They also endured a surprise FA Cup exit to Mansfield last weekend.  Stay tuned for live updates, expert insight, and analysis fr...

"I don't really like it." Reece James names ONE thing he dislikes over his years at Chelsea

Image
Chelsea captain Reece James has revealed some key lessons he’s learned about himself during his time at Stamford Bridge.  The right-back has experienced success, challenges and growth since breaking into the first team, and his recent comments offer fans a rare insight into his mindset off the pitch. Understanding His Body Has Been One of the Biggest Lessons: James admits that one of the biggest things he’s learned over his Chelsea career is how to manage his body. As a young player, there wasn’t much structure to his routine — he just trained, played and hoped his body held up. But as he’s matured, he’s realised that not everything works for him physically.  He said: “The more games you play, the more you adapt. When I first got onto the scene, there wasn’t much of a routine… As I’ve got older and learned and understood my body more, I’ve tried things and learned, ‘I don’t really like this, I don’t feel good when I do this’.” That honest admission shows a willingness to evolv...

Chelsea are assessing which areas of the squad need strengthening, while also identifying players they may need to move on in order to create space and generate funds for new arrivals. Despite recalling Mamadou Sarr from his loan spell at Strasbourg during the winter transfer window, one position Chelsea are still keen to strengthen is centre-back. Per Simon Phillips ,  the Blues are ready to offload Benoit Badiashile, Tosin Adarabioyo and Trevoh Chalobah this summer.  Chelsea want to land Murillo.  According to a report from TEAMtalk this week, Chelsea are targeting Murillo of Nottingham Forest and, alongside Liverpool, are said to have done the most groundwork in purs...

"Not for sale." Spanish giants reject Chelsea bid for £200,000 per-week star.

Image
 • Spanish giants have turned down Chelsea's bid for £200,000 plus per week defender.  • The player is tagged "Untouchable."  Barcelona have reportedly deemed Jules Kounde as "untouchable" following Chelsea's revived interest in the player.  Recall Chelsea were eager to sign Jules Kounde during the 2022 summer transfer window. However, the French defender ultimately chose to join Barcelona from Sevilla instead, dealing a significant setback to Thomas Tuchel, who was in charge at Stamford Bridge at the time. Chelsea appear poised to make another attempt to sign Jules Kounde, but the defender’s situation at Barcelona, coupled with his massive release clause, would make any deal extremely difficult. Back in December, reports suggested that Chelsea were looking to bring in an experienced centre-back, a move that could see the club depart from their usual transfer policy. According to Sport , while Chelsea remain interested in Kounde, Barcelona consider the 27-ye...

(VIDEO): Pedro Neto nets opener vs Hull City | 0—1.

Image
Chelsea were really struggling to find the back of the net before Pedro Neto's stunning strike! The Blues now take the lead in the FA Cup!  After a frustrating half full of missed chances, it is first-team regular Pedro Neto who steps up and gets the job done. The Portugal star is playing as the number ten tonight—a surprise, but he makes it count. After some neat one-touch play through the middle, striker Liam Delap lays the ball off to Neto. He takes a touch to set it up, then lashes a left-footed strike from outside the box into the bottom corner. It’s been an immensely frustrating first half at times given the chances missed, and we hope this effort gives the team a little more confidence. They need to rattle in a couple more so we can take off the likes of Moises Caicedo. All signs are promising though, and with 45 minutes left to play we’re expecting a win. Who knows, maybe we’ll even get to see young Jesse Derry or Shim Mheuka in the second half? That would make an o...

James missed Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Leeds due to illness, having also sat out Chelsea’s previous two games with a knock. The defender is now available and has been immediately recalled by Blues head coach Liam Rosenior. It remains unclear how serious the hamstring injury is that forced Marc Cucurella off at halftime against Leeds, but he will not feature against Hull. “Marc is too early to know,” Rosenior said at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday. “Obviously, he is definitely out for the game against Hull. We’re doing our scans and assessments.” TODAY'S TEAM SHEET. As expected, Rosenior has made several changes to his lineup for the match against the club he has represented as both player and manager. Chelsea step up pursuit of highly-rated centre-back after defensive collapse vs Leeds United.

Image
 • Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of highly rated defender after their poor showing vs Leeds United.  • The Blues are looking to bolster their defensive options this summer and the player has been identified as a target.  Chelsea are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of highly-rated defender Sedi Kenteh following their 2-2 draw against Leeds United, a result that exposed defensive vulnerabilities within Liam Rosenior’s side. The Blues looked on course to secure all three points at Stamford Bridge but were undone by costly defensive lapses, allowing Leeds to complete a late comeback. The visitors capitalised on hesitation and poor defensive organisation, with Chelsea’s backline coming under heavy scrutiny after conceding the equaliser. According to reports, Chelsea have intensified their interest in Kenteh as they seek to strengthen their defensive unit. The centre-back has attracted attention across Europe due to his physical presence, composure under press...

HELLO BLUES AND WELCOME TO TODAY'S LIVE MATCH STREAM! Tonight's match between Chelsea and Leeds at Stamford Bridge starts with the home side in fifth after four successive victories under Liam Rosenior and Leeds in 16th after only two defeats in 12 league games, a run that began with a 3-1 victory over Chelsea under the lights at Elland Road. Rosenior has made a decent fist of his start as Chelsea’s third manager of the season, winning all four of his league matches, over Brentford, Palace, West Ham and Wolves, after falling to eighth following defeat in the derby by Fulham when Calum McFarlane was picking the side.  They have scored 11 goals in those four victories, four for Cole Palmer, three for Joao Pedro and two for Enzo Fernández which have buoyed their supporters after some rather effete and ponderous attacking performances in the dog days of Enzo Maresca’s time in charge.  In the match at Elland Road, Leeds exploited a very hesitant performance at the back from Tosin ...

"Not part of my plans." — Liam Rosenior open to selling €40M Chelsea star with Roberto De Zerbi eyeing move.

Image
 • Liam Rosenior is open to selling this €40M player and Roberto de Zerbi is reportedly interested in signing him.. The upcoming summer transfer window is expected to be another busy period for Chelsea, with Todd Boehly and the Clearlake ownership preparing to spend heavily once again after splashing nearly £300 million last summer. However, Chelsea balanced their spending with significant player sales. Notable departures included Noni Madueke, who joined Arsenal for a fee exceeding £50 million, and Christopher Nkunku, who moved to AC Milan, among others. Looking ahead, Chelsea are reportedly planning to strengthen several areas of the squad. The goalkeeping department is set for reinforcement, while interest in Jeremy Jacquet indicates the club is targeting defensive additions. Midfield depth is also seen as a priority, and Emmanuel Emegha is expected to bolster the attacking options. Meanwhile, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho have struggled to make a consistent impact since ...

"I'm not happy!" Robert Sanchez delivers honest claim despite Chelsea 3-1 victory vs Wolves; reveals why.

Image
Robert Sanchez is gutted despite Chelsea's 3-1 win vs Wolverhampton Wanderers.   Chelsea clinched all three points in Saturday's outing at Molineaux, thanks to three first-half goals from Cole Palmer.   The Chelsea starlet made history to become the first player in Premier League history to score three hat-trick in the first half of a match.  Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez is happy with the win, but is disappointed not to have kept a cleansheet following Tolu Arokodare's consolation goal in the second half. However, it's four Premier League wins in a row for the Blues under Rosenior but Sanchez really wanted a clean sheet.  Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, Sanchez said: " I think the first half was brilliant. I think the second half, the first goal came from a situation that we could've avoided. We gave them a bit of energy to come to us and we struggled a little bit. But we won the game, so very happy." The Chelsea stopper was also full of pr...

Rob Edwards Reacts has reacted after Cole Palmer Hit Hat-Trick in Chelsea’s 3-1 Win Over Wolves Chelsea star Cole Palmer delivered a stunning hat-trick to fire the Blues to a commanding 3-1 win over Wolves, producing another statement performance in the Premier League. The England international was unstoppable throughout the match, scoring three goals.  Despite Wolves managing to pull one goal back, they struggled to contain Palmer’s movement, creativity, and finishing ability. After the match, Wolves manager Rob Edwards admitted the Chelsea star caused serious problems for his side and praised his exceptional quality. 🗣️ Rob Edwards on Palmer: "Not sure I like that lad very much. He’s scored against me before. He’s a special, special footballer." Palmer’s hat-trick continues his incredible scoring form and further cements his status as one of the Premier League’s standout performers.  The Blues travel to Molineux seeking a seventh win in nine games, with a pair of Carabao Cup semi-final losses the only blemishes on their record so far under Liam Rosenior. The new boss has experimented with his line-up in recent outings, but questions marks over the fitness of key players including Reece James mean Chelsea return to a more familiar formation today. The west Londoners are in a close-fought battle for the top four at the moment, with rivals Manchester United beating Tottenham in the early Premier League kick-off while Liverpool face title hopefuls Manchester City on Sunday, making a statement win against the division’s bottom side more or less a necessity. Wolves, though, have tightened up at the back under Rob Edwards in recent weeks, managing to frustrate Arsenal and Liverpool in narrow losses before holding United and Newcastle to stalemates. "For sale." Chelsea slap £40M asking price on talented star, confirm he can leave this summer.

Image
 • One Chelsea star could be on his way out of the club this summer.  Chelsea brought central defender Mamadou Sarr back from his loan at Strasbourg in January, leaving the club with a crowded selection in central defense once Levi Colwill returns from injury. Reports this week suggest Benoit Badiashile’s time at Stamford Bridge could be coming to an end.  According to Mark Brus for CaughtOffside , the French defender is very likely to leave Chelsea in the 2026 summer transfer window, with the club reportedly seeking a fee of around €35m.  Three unnamed clubs are said to be monitoring the situation, while interest from major teams in Italy and France is typical for the left-footed centre-back. Chelsea appear ready to accept a permanent sale rather than another loan, aiming to trim the squad. The situation has become increasingly difficult for the former Monaco man. Now 24, Badiashile has spent much of the season on the sidelines, making just 15 appearances across al...

Liam Rosenior confirms Chelsea have suffered triple injury set backs and return dates after Arsenal clash.

Image
Chelsea now have triple injury concerns ahead of Wolves clash.  Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior has confirmed that captain Reece James and winger Pedro Neto missed the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg due to injury. Reports emerged after the match that both players failed late fitness tests. Speaking following the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, Rosenior confirmed their status: “Pedro and Reece have small knocks. They were just in too much pain for tonight.” With the Blues set to face Wolves on Saturday, both James and Neto are now in a race against time to recover ahead of the trip to Molineux. Rosenior described the captain’s issue as a “small” knock, which should come as a relief to supporters given James’ well-documented injury history. However, it is worth noting that the right-back has remained available for the majority of fixtures this season. James did miss the FA Cup third-round tie against Charlton Athletic, as well as the first leg of the semi-final against Arsenal due to a ...

FIVE Problems Arsenal Exposed in Chelsea’s Squad after 1-0 defeat.

Image
Chelsea are OUT of the Carabao Cup following their recent defeat (aggr. 4—2) to Arsenal in the EFL Cup.  The first leg of the tie saw Chelsea succumb to a 3—2 defeat and many fans looked at the second leg with hope that the Blues would turn things around following their recent performances and comeback against the Hammers.   However, a sloppy performance from the Blues especially in the first half and a late goal from Kai Havertz saw the Blues lose to The Gunners.  Many fans have blamed Liam Rosenior's approach to the game as primary reason for the Blues' loss to Arsenal.  Pundit Paul Merson is also of the same opinion.   Liam Rosenior's side took a conservative approach despite needing a goal to send the tie to extra-time following their first-leg defeat and were unable to create clear chances.  Chelsea had 14 shots but only two of them were on target. In total they only generated 0.68 expected goals. Paul Merson said on Sky Sports: "I'm fl...

Chelsea dealt new injury worry ahead of Carabao Cup semifinal vs Arsenal.

Image
 • One player could miss the clash against Arsenal with injury concerns.  Chelsea have been handed a fresh injury concern after Jamie Gittens limped off during their comeback over West Ham. Gittens started Saturday’s London derby as Liam Rosenior opted to rotate his squad, making seven changes from the side that defeated Napoli in the Champions League earlier in the week. However, the winger’s outing at Stamford Bridge was cut short just before the half-hour mark. Gittens received treatment from Chelsea’s medical team before walking gingerly toward the dugout after being substituted for Pedro Neto. There has been no official update yet on the severity of the injury involving the 21-year-old, though he is expected to be doubtful for Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg away at Arsenal. It marks the second time in a week that Gittens has been substituted early. However, his withdrawal against Napoli — after replacing Andrey Santos on the hour mark — was a tactical m...

LIVESTREAM: Manchester City Women vs Chelsea FC Women

Hello, good afternoon and welcome to coverage of the WSL clash between Manchester City and Chelsea.  It’s first versus second today as City look to extend their lead at the top of the table to 12 points - which would effectively see them put one hand on the trophy with eight games left to play. The last time these two sides met in the league was on the opening day of the season, when Chelsea clinched a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge. That remains the only time Manchester City have dropped points this term. The Blues can go into this game with some confidence, despite last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Arsenal. They progressed to the Subway League Cup final with a 1-0 win over City less than a fortnight ago thanks to a first-half goal from Wieke Kaptein. Of course, you can never count the reigning champions out. This could be a season-defining match for both clubs, so you don’t want to miss it!
